Join us on these relaxed hours to enjoy Catherine Opie | To Be Seen with limited visitor numbers.
Relaxed hours are designed to support disabled or neurodivergent visitors, people living with dementia, those with sensory requirements and any other visitors who would prefer a more relaxed experience, plus their families, friends and supporters.
You will find:
- Friendly staff available to help you
- Fewer people in the exhibition
- A sensory map
- Communication badges
- Sensory support aids (including ear defenders, tinted glasses, stim/sensory items)
- A quiet breakout space available in the Clore Learning Centre on Level 2 of the National
Two accessible car parking spaces are available on site and should be booked in advance. There is also on street parking close by including for those with a blue badge.
Sensory map
Download the sensory map of the exhibition and identify areas with changes in light, smells and noise. Printed copies of the map are available at the Welcome Wall in the gallery.
