Relaxed Day @ Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh

Dynamic Earth is Edinburgh’s Science Centre & Planetarium.
Dynamic Earth’s Relaxed Days aim to provide a calm and inclusive environment for visitors; designed for those who would benefit from a more relaxed visit, but open to everyone. These sessions prioritise sensory comfort without compromising on the overall Dynamic Earth experience.
During our Relaxed Day, the following adjustments are made:
- Reduced visitor numbers throughout the day.
- Alterations to lighting and audio features.
- Additional accessibility resources available, including sensory bags, social stories and sensory maps.
- Disability and neurodiversity awareness training for staff.
- Captions on all videos, and BSL interpretation on Planetarium shows.
- A wide range of sensory aids
- Flexible admission to our tour and Planetarium.
- Designated quiet space for visitors to use.
