Autism in Museums is delighted to be partnering with Kids in Museums and National Museums Liverpool to offer a training day on 9th May in Liverpool.
Would you like to make your venue more welcoming to families and young people with autism, but aren’t sure where to start? Have you begun to make changes but need some further inspiration?
On this training day we will bring together a range of perspectives and explore practical ways to make your venue more welcoming, accessible and inclusive to people with autism.
The day will help delegates to:
- gain an insight into how families and young people with autism experience your venues
- find out how other organisations have made low and no cost changes in response to consultation with this audience
- think about small changes you could make in your venue to be more welcoming to this audience
- explore ideas on how to embed practice, make new local partnerships, evaluate provision and create self-guided resources.

In my enthusiasm posted my thanks for this brilliant event yesterday in at the April 24 post! Apologies – but my mistake doesn’t lessen the impact of an inspiring day.
