DESCRIPTION:Night Owls is a sensory friendly event for visitors aged 16+ who need a quieter environment to enjoy the museum. \n\nNEXT NIGHT OWLS: Saturday 24 May 2025\nThis event is suitable for those who benefit from visiting the museum free from the hustle and bustle of the general public (for example\, individuals with autism spectrum conditions or sensory processing differences). \nTaking place on selected dates across the year\, we open the museum exclusively after hours\, and wherever possible will have adjusted operations and/or lowered volume levels on exhibits. \nAs well as exploring some of the galleries\, you can enjoy a selection of fun activities across the museum. There will also be quiet areas for those needing to take a break. More details on exactly what to expect on the day will be sent out in advance of each Night Owls event. \nGeneral admission to Night Owls accessible events is free and suitable for visitors aged 16+. DESCRIPTION:SENDsational Morning – 25 May 2025 \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are excited to present SENDsational Mornings at Tring\, Hertfordshire on Sunday 25 May 2025 10.00-12.00. \nChildren with neurodiverse conditions including autism and other sensory processing difficulties can enjoy the Museum with their families and siblings\, free from the hustle and bustle of the general public. \nWhat can you expect from the experience? \n\nVisitors have access to rainforest themed activities including specimen handling\, craft activity and a gallery trail.\n\n\nAll activities are supported by experienced\, autism-aware facilitators.\nA quiet room will be available for those children needing a quieter and calmer space.\nAll of the galleries\, outdoor spaces and the shop will be accessible throughout the event.\nThe general public will be allowed in from 12.00.\n\nThis event is best for children aged 5-15 and siblings are welcome. \nPlease note that Dawnosaurs is a similar event run by our sister museum in South Kensington.
