SUMMARY:Access to Work @ Wellcome Collection\, London
DESCRIPTION:Access to Work\n\n\nThursday 13 February 2025\, 11:00 – 12:30\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFree\n\n\nDiscussion\n\n\nBritish Sign Language\n\n\nCaptioned\n\n\nHearing loop\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nshow credit information for image ‘Event in the Forum’\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat you’ll do\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen it comes to work\, an accessible approach benefits us all. Join us for a panel discussion exploring the relationship between labour\, art\, disability\, parenting and interdependent networks of care. \nThe conversation will be rooted in disability justice and co-produced by artist Jamila Prowse in collaboration with the Art Working Parents Alliance. \nThe panel will talk about their perspectives on creative practices\, work and care. There will then be an opportunity for you to share your views and ask questions. \nFor anyone who’d like to bring babies and children\, there will be a comfy room where you can watch the event on a screen while they move around\, make noise and play. \nOne of the panellists will be wearing a respiratory mask. Please get in touch if this will present any access barriers for you\, for example if you lipread. Face masks will be available on the day for anyone who’d like to use one. \nBSL interpretation will be provided by Anne-Marie Marray and Grace Buckle. \nThe event will also be livestreamed on Wellcome Collection’s YouTube channel. You can book a ticket for the in-venue event or YouTube livestream below. \nSome of the team are immunocompromised so please join via the livestream if you’re feeling unwell. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDates\n\nThursday 13 February 2025\, 11:00 – 12:30
