DESCRIPTION:Make your own colourful foam and learn about one of our favourite garden insects. \nSeacole Sessions are sensory friendly events for families. They are designed to support autistic and neurodiverse families and are suitable for people who would benefit from visiting the museum when it is less crowded and noisy. Spaces for these activities are limited and free tickets must be booked in advance. All those who sign up will be sent a visual story via email\nThe event is across two sessions – either 11-12.30 noon or 1-2.30pm. \nImportant information: \n•Our programme is recommended for 3-10 year olds but siblings and babies are very welcome. \n•Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the activity. \n•The workshop will take place in the Museum’s Learning Centre\, beside the Priory Church\, on the north side of St John’s Square. DESCRIPTION:A Relaxed\, sensory festive visit to the Historic Kitchens\nFor anyone with additional needs or disabilities of any age and their families/friends.\n\nJoin our experienced staff and volunteers for a special visit to the Historic Kitchen\, decorated in Holly and Ivy. Discover the difference between how we prepared our festive food in Victorian times\, and the present day.\nThere will be opportunities to handle museum objects and costume\, sensory activities and traditional Christmas decorations to make and take home. Don’t forget to stir the Christmas pudding and make a wish!\n\nA cloakrooms\, chill out zone and lunch/snack rooms are available. The historic kitchens are wheelchair accessible\, and FREE parking is available\, if reserved in advance. All attendees will be contacted in advance of the visit\, to help us plan for their individual needs.\nPlease email Lawj@visitgunnersbury.org to reserve your place.\n

DESCRIPTION:HMS Pinafore ENO Relaxed Performance \nThursday 29 January at 2pm at the London Coliseum\, WC2N 4ES \n \nRunning time: 2 hours 15 minutes with one interval\nSung in English\, with surtitles projected above the stage. \nAge guidance: 5yrs + (the age guidance for relaxed remains in line with all ENO production and any children under 5 will not be admitted). \n \nUnder 21s go free. Adult/Teacher tickets are £29 \nFind out more about the production or watch the show trailer \n \nWhat are Relaxed Performances? \nAt ENO Relaxed Performances\, we welcome audiences to come as they are\, to relax and respond to the show in their own ways\, which often includes making noise and moving freely. \n\nLight and sound elements are altered and the house lights are on (but low) throughout the performance. Chill out spaces are provided and the show is available to watch live outside of the auditorium. There is an open-door policy\, meaning if you need a break\, you can go in and out of the auditorium as much as you like. \nRelaxed performances provide an inclusive environment. You may choose to attend because of an access requirement\, which might include people with dementia\, learning disabilities\, an autistic spectrum condition\, Tourette’s syndrome\, sensory disorders\, anxiety\, bladder and bowel conditions. \nFor more information take a look at our guide to ENO relaxed performances or watch our ‘What to expect at Relaxed Performances’ video. \n  \nAdditional sensory activities \nOur ENO Engage team will provide sensory and learning pre-show activities\, such as seeing and touching props and trying on costumes from past opera productions.
