DESCRIPTION:Quiet Hour\, Tuesday 29 July from 9am.\n  \nOur Aircraft Factory the home of our Wellington Bomber\, the Flight Shed where you have a go at deciphering Morse Code\,  step inside the Vickers Wellington walkthrough as well as being able to get up close and sit in the pilot’s seats of the Hawker Hunter and Harrier aircraft.* \nVisitors who are neurodivergent can enjoy these areas of the Museum\, free from the hustle and bustle of our normal opening hours. \nConcorde Sensory Tour\, £3.50pp \nJoin us on this special guided tour of Concorde\, the world’s most famous aircraft\, back at its home in Brooklands. You will experience a feast for the senses as you handle genuine objects from staff and passengers of Concorde and enjoy an item from the menu! This experience is particularly suited to neurodivergent people and those with sensory needs. There will be reduced noise in this tour. \n25-minute guided tour which includes: \n·         Complimentary Concorde Boarding pass \n·         Hear about the history and operation of the Concorde fleet \n·         Handle clothing\, photographs\, and memorabilia from Concorde’s flying days \n·         Sit in the comfort of Concorde Passenger seats \n·         Complimentary Concorde Flight Certificate \n·         Taste a sample from an actual in-flight Concorde menu \n​​​Our Café will be open for our ‘Brooklands Breakfast offer’. \nThe Museum will then be open as normal from 10am – 4pm when all our exhibit areas will be open.  *some activities have step access only

DESCRIPTION:Featuring art\, design\, architecture and technology\, this thought-provoking show will present visitors with radical ideas on how to design with — and better understand — the living world. By bringing together over 140 works spanning contemporary and traditional practices\, fine art\, product design\, architecture and interactive installations\, the exhibition will explore how humans can relearn to design with and for the natural world in the face of climate emergency. \nOpen from July 2025. \nLocation: Ground Floor \n\nVisit the exhibition webpage for further information about More than Human\nBook your tickets here\n\nThe Relaxed Opening allows you to visit our exhibitions with fewer people in the gallery\, a more relaxed attitude towards noise and movement\, and additional support. \nSpecial adjustments will include: \n\nFewer tickets are available per time slot\, so the galleries will be less busy than usual\nA small Chill Room will be available on Level -1\, near the gallery entrance and exit\nA selection of tactile materials from the exhibition will be available to touch during the relaxed opening\nYou can download a Sensory Map and a Large Print Guide for each exhibition space from our Access Information webpage\, and also on this page (please scroll down to find out more)\nA print copy of the Sensory Maps and Large Print Guides will be available onsite during the Relaxed opening.
