DESCRIPTION:Relaxed SENDays\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA relaxed day for disabled visitors and their families\n\n\nWhat’s relaxed about it? \nLow visitor numbers:\nWe’ve heavily restricted ticket availability on these days\, so our galleries will be much less busy than usual. \nFlexible timings:\nWe want these days to work around you! Which is why – although we do ask you to select an arrival time – we are flexible if you happen to get here a little earlier or later than your slot. \nChill Out Room:\nNeed some time out away from the main museum? Just ask any of our Enablers (the people in purple shirts with “Eureka! Science + Discovery” written on them) for access to our Chill Out Room. \nEar defenders:\nYou can borrow a pair of ear defenders for free from our Information Desk (by the admissions tills) – subject to availability\, obvs. \nFully accessible venue:\nIncluding lifts and a Changing Places loo. \nTrained\, supportive staff:\nOur whole team are trained in disability awareness\, and we really want you all to have a great day out. Just ask us if there’s anything we can do to support you 🙂 \nDo I have to pre-book?\nYes please! All visitors must pre-book\, even if you are an existing annual pass holder. There will be a very limited number of tickets available on this day! \nPlanned SENdays in 2025: \n7th Dec – Find out more about the activities on the day: A Very Curious Christmas! – Eureka! You can book one out from the Hub.\n\n\nOur Changing Places facility is conveniently located in the Ferry Terminal.\n\n\nPick up a sunflower lanyard from the Hub to let us know you might need a bit of extra help.\n\n\nEar defenders are available at the Hub too\, to keep things nice and quiet.\n\n\nIf you need a wheelchair\, we’ve got one you can borrow. DESCRIPTION:Post Early: Relaxed Events\n\n\n\n\n7 December / 10.00 – 17.00 Booking opens near event \nThe Postal Museum\n\n£3.50 per person \n\nBook now\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nWhat is Post Early? \nPost Early is a relaxed event that has been co-produced with Ambitious about Autism and a group of their autistic Youth Patrons.  \nAlthough the event is designed to support autistic and neurodiverse people\, including families and adults\, it is suitable for anyone who would benefit from visiting the museum when it is less crowded. \n\nAdmission \n\n£3.50 per person.\nVisitors are welcome to book a space for 1 accompanying companion or carer (included in the admission fee). Please contact the Bookings Support Team if you require additional essential companion or carer tickets at bookings@postalmuseum.org.\nAdmission includes entry to all exhibitions and an optional ride on Mail Rail.\n\n\nAbout the event \nAt this event visitors can: \n\nRide Mail Rail.\nVisit Sorted!\, the Postal Play Space.\nExplore the exhibitions with adjusted sounds and lighting.\nTake part in a creative arts and crafts activity.\nRelax in our breakout space.\nBorrow sensory support items.\nEnjoy 20% off food and drink in the cafe.\n\n\nMail Rail access \nMail Rail carriages have size and accessibility restrictions.
