DESCRIPTION:More than Human Relaxed Opening\n\nWednesday 17 September 2025\, 10:00 – 12:00\nFeaturing art\, design\, architecture and technology\, this thought-provoking show will present visitors with radical ideas on how to design with — and better understand — the living world. By bringing together over 140 works spanning contemporary and traditional practices\, fine art\, product design\, architecture and interactive installations\, the exhibition will explore how humans can relearn to design with and for the natural world in the face of climate emergency. \nOpen from July 2025. \nLocation: Ground Floor \n\nVisit the exhibition webpage for further information about More than Human\nBook your tickets here\n\nThe Relaxed Opening allows you to visit our exhibitions with fewer people in the gallery\, a more relaxed attitude towards noise and movement\, and additional support. \nSpecial adjustments will include: \n\nFewer tickets are available per time slot\, so the galleries will be less busy than usual\nA small Chill Room will be available on Level -1\, near the gallery entrance and exit\nA selection of tactile materials from the exhibition will be available to touch during the relaxed opening\nYou can download a Sensory Map and a Large Print Guide for each exhibition space from our Access Information webpage\, and also on this page (please scroll down to find out more)\nA print copy of the Sensory Maps and Large Print Guides will be available onsite during the Relaxed opening. SUMMARY:Quiet Hour @ Brooklands Museum\, Surrey
DESCRIPTION:We will open our gates an hour early at 9am for a Quiet Hour for our annual fun filled Emergency Services Day – where you will see a wide variety of emergency vehicles and pieces of apparatus used in our emergency services.  This will be an impressive line-up of current serving vehicles and older historic vehicles with no sirens or flashing lights operating for the Quiet Hour period. \nWe will also open our Motoring Village which includes the Jackson shed – British Grand Prix: Where it all began\, Campbell ERA Shed – Fastest on earth: Racing Legends of Brooklands and the Barnes Wallis’ Stratosphere Chamber for visitors who are neurodivergent to enjoy these areas of the Museum\, free from the hustle and bustle of our normal opening hours. \nOur Sunbeam Café will be open for our ‘Brooklands Breakfast offer’ and our family activities will be running from 9am. \nThe Museum will then be open as normal from 10am – 5pm when all our exhibit areas will be open.
