One ticket per person\, and one member of the group needs to be aged 5-25 with autism spectrum conditions or sensory processing differences. Drop-in workshops are most suitable for ages 8-14. Drinks and snacks will be available. Join us for a free morning or afternoon event specifically designed for children and young people with autism spectrum conditions or sensory processing differences. The event offers children and young people the opportunity to visit the museum without the distraction of other visitors\, accompanied by their families\, carers or friends. Throughout each session there will be drop-in cartoon workshops with our cartoonist Steve Marchant\, as well as a self-led trail of the museum – or you can just use the time to explore the museum at your own pace. We cannot be responsible for any attendees. Spaces for these activities are limited and free tickets must be booked in advance. This is a sensory-friendly event for families and individuals. The event is suitable for individuals or families with members who may have sensory processing differences\, autistic spectrum conditions or would otherwise benefit from a quieter environment to explore IWM London.  \nAs part of our late opening\, you will be able to explore all our current exhibitions and have the opportunity to participate in family-friendly activities.  \nThere will also be quiet rooms for those needing to take a break\, a breakout space\, and an indoor eating area for anyone wishing to bring their own food.  \nTo help ensure a smooth entry to the museum\, we kindly ask visitors to book a free ticket online in advance. However\, we will still have capacity available onsite for those who are unable to book tickets. \nWe will send all visitors an email around a week before the event with more information and a visual walkthrough to help you fully plan for your visit. Please be aware\, the museum will be open to the general public for the first hour of your visit.  \nAccess\nWe ask those attending the Relaxed Hours event to please use the West Entrance\, which can be found by following the path along the right side of the museum’s main entrance. Fifteen minutes before closing at 6:45 pm\, you will be approached by staff to let you know about the upcoming closure. \nA visitor walks through the Second World War Galleries at IWM London\nExhibition Information\nThere will be a temporary exhibition running called Emergency Exits: The Fight for Independence in Malaya\, Kenya and Cyprus\, exploring the wave of independence movements that followed the end of the Second World War\, as many of Britain’s former imperial territories gained independence.\nPlease be aware that areas of our galleries can be dark and contain loud noises and potentially distressing images. Details of where these areas are located can be found in the visual walkthrough. There will be signage at the event.\nThe exhibitions are designed to encourage visitors to consider the experiences of people during conflict. In our First World War Galleries\, there is a short\, optional section that takes visitors through a replica trench. The floor in this area is textured\, with low lighting and sound effects. Visitors using mobility aids\, with mobility impairments\, sensory processing differences or with buggies may wish to take extra care in this area or take an alternative route that avoids this experience.\nFacilities\n· The café will be open for hot drinks and cold snacks.  \n· Accessible toilets and baby change facilities are available throughout the museum and are signposted.  \n· There are a small number of ear defenders and sensory backpacks containing items that may help your visit. They are available upon request on a first-come\, first-serve basis and are free to use. Tickets on sale 16 September. \nYou do not have to leave the site after the event ends\, however it will get considerably busier and louder after 12:00. \nSeparate ticket (advance booking required) \nEvents\nStart of the events summary\nRelaxed events at Kensington Palace are for Neurodivergent and learning-disabled young people/adults and families/friends [16+]. \nWe welcome anyone who identifies as Neurodivergent\, Learning-Disabled or Disabled. This includes ADHD\, Autism\, Anxiety\, OCD\, Tourette’s and all other sensory and processing difficulties.   \nEnjoy two hours at Kensington Palace free from crowds between the hours of 10:00 – 12:00. \nThe event will include free entry to Kensington Palace\, access to Dress Codes\, our temporary exhibition\, and access to relaxed and SEN programming lead by disability aware contractors and facilitators.   \nCrowd levels are limited\, and access considerations have been made to ensure you\, and your group can enjoy the Palace free from loud sound effects and harsh lighting. \n A café and retail space will also be available. \nEvent information\nCrowd levels will be kept to a minimum for these events with only ticket holders being permitted entry during the event time slots. Ticketing is significantly capped compared to a standard operational day.  \nLighting\, sound and general effects throughout the Palace will be minimised or turned off for your comfort.  \nContent warnings will be placed upon spaces that may contain material audiences may find distressing.  \nWe will not be asking for proof of disability or supporting documents for these events. \nVisitors with limited mobility\nKensington Palace is a historic building with difficult stairs and passageways\, including spiral staircases\, and wheelchair access is limited. From the flamboyant energy of London’s dancehall scene to the rise of hip hop and R&B\, Baptiste’s lens offers a vital visual record of a generation in motion. \nVisitors will encounter defining images of figures including Roots Manuva\, Estelle\, Ms Dynamite and NAS\, as well as street portraits of everyday icons from 1990s Brixton and beyond. A highlight includes the return of Revolutions @33 1/3 rpm — Baptiste’s seminal documentation of London’s hip hop DJ scene\, exhibited here for the first time since 1999\, complete with original mixes from the DJs she photographed. \nThe exhibition also features Black Chains of Icon\, a powerful conceptual series exploring themes of Black identity\, resilience\, and legacy through layered materials\, historic quotes\, and experimental printing techniques. \nImmersive and celebratory\, Rhythm & Roots affirms Baptiste’s rightful place in the canon of British photography. A series of multi-sensory choreographic installations\, performances and experiments will take over Somerset House’s Embankment Galleries\, including spectacular new commissions. Extending the experience beyond Somerset House\, a major off-site installation will also be presented at Stone Nest in London’s West End — forming part of a city-wide celebration of Infinite Bodies. \nReflecting the collaborative nature that defines Studio Wayne McGregor’s creative home in East London\, the exhibition features collaborations with world-leading artists\, designers\, musicians\, and technologists\, such as Industrial Light & Magic\, artist group Random International\, Oscar-winning sound designer Nicolas Becker\, renowned music producer LEXX\, and artists Ben Cullen Williams and Jeffrey Shaw.
