SUMMARY:Relaxed session: Entire Museum @ Royal Albert Memorial Museum\, Exeter
DESCRIPTION:Explore the whole museum at your own pace in a quiet and relaxed setting\, and visit our fantastic temporary exhibitions – Grayson Perry: Aspects of Myself\, and Wow! Amazing Science in Children’s Books – without the crowds and with AV sound turned off. \nGrayson Perry: Aspects of Myself is RAMM’s first exhibition of the work of one of Britain’s best-known contemporary artists. From textiles and pots to etchings and woodcuts\, Grayson Perry: Aspects of Myself explores a sense of self through a range of media and storytelling techniques. \nIf you wish to visit the Grayson Perry exhibition\, you will need to buy a exhibition ticket here: Grayson Perry: Aspects of Myself – RAMM \nWow! Amazing Science in Children’s Books takes you on a journey from outer space to deepest underground\, and into the workings of the human body\, through the creations of artists including Oliver Jeffers\, David Macauley\, Marcia Williams and Yuval Zommer. This is a free exhibition. \nAlternatively\, take the time to wander around the entire museum – explore Roman Exeter\, marvel at objects in our World Cultures gallery\, and say hi to Gerald the Giraffe! \nRAMM regularly holds Relaxed Sessions. These are bookable times to visit the museum or its exhibitions when visitor numbers are restricted\, and all AV sound is turned off. They are usually in the morning before the museum opens to the public or similarly in the evenings after it has closed. \nRAMM’s Relaxed Sessions are for anyone who seeks a relaxed nature of visit\, but are particularly suitable for neurodivergent visitors and visitors with anxiety or other associated conditions. During the sessions\, you are welcome to move and make noise around the museum. \nPlease see our What’s On page for any upcoming sessions. \nGet in touch on ramm.enquiries@exeter.gov.uk or ask at Reception for more information. \nSee our access page for visual stories to prepare your visit.
