SUMMARY:Finish This... 2026/27 - Bookings Now Open!
DESCRIPTION:Finish This… is ENO’s inclusive national music making programme for KS2\, KS3 and SEND learners; inspiring young composers across the country; bringing a fusion opera\, film and animation into schools\, as a creative springboard for collaborative composition work. Co-created with teachers the project aligns with the school curriculum and is suitable for all levels of experience and musical ability.\n\nWho is it for?\nThe programme has three learner strands\, co-produced with teacher champions:\n\n\n\nKS2 primary\n\n\nKS3 secondary\n\n\nSEND schools\n\n\n\nSchools can sign up to as many projects as they would like throughout the academic year 2026-27. The programme is free of charge for state schools. Independent schools are welcome to apply to take part at a charge of £200 per class.\n\nAs part of the project\, schools get access to:\n\n\nTeacher learning resource pack (including template lesson plans\, teaching materials)\n\n\nOperatic music performed by the world-class ENO Orchestra and Chorus\n\n\nComposition toolkit\, with digital and printed resources delivered to your school\n\n\nOnline CPD and briefings for teachers\, introducing the toolkit and new approaches to making music in the classroom\n\n\n\nHow to join?\nBookings are now open and will close on Friday 10th of July. Visitors are welcome to move\, express themselves\, and engage with the space in the way that suits them best. \nWhat happens during Relaxed Opening?\n\nFurther reduced visitor numbers inside the attraction with no guided tours or group bookings\nHand dryers switched off. Disposable hand towels provided\nReduced volume of soundscapes and video\nVisitors are encouraged to explore Tower Bridge in the way that they feel most comfortable.\n\nWe also: \n\nTrain our team regularly with access awareness training\nProvide a visual story to help you plan ahead\nProvide access tool kits that contain sensory items and can help assist visitors who may benefit from distraction\, play and sensory management when feeling overwhelmed by the environment. We suggest arriving at the exact time of your timed entry. \nPlease know that our queue is outside on the Bridge which is a working Bridge and there are a lot of noise and external inputs from the road and pedestrians. Inspired by the V&A collection\, this relaxed session encourages creativity and collaboration. \n\nThis session has been created by Alice Burnhope\, an award-winning textile artist who creates spaces for families to connect through making\, play and shared experiences. \n\nThis is an activity for families where either a child or the parent/ carer/ guardian is neurodivergent or has a sensory processing disorder. This is a free\, drop-in event for families to enjoy all together; no child can be left unattended. Suitable for ages 5+. \nAll activities are optional\, and you can visit at any point during the event timings\, between 11am – 4pm. However\, please book your tickets to give us an idea if you’re likely to visit us earlier 11am-1:30pm\, or later in the day 1:30-4pm. \n\nIf you need a break\, there will be a breakout space available through the day\, with one within the event space and the other nearby. This space will have: a blackout tent\, cushions\, sensory toys\, and ear defenders. \n\nAll materials will be provided\, no previous creative experience is necessary. Siblings\, family members\, and carers of all ages are all welcome (please book a space for each person attending). \n\nThe Museum is accessible and step-free.
