Relaxed Opening Hours @ Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh

Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh’s Science Centre & Planetarium is hosting its relaxed opening day. This day aims to provide a calm and inclusive environment for visitors; designed for those who would benefit from a more relaxed visit, but open to everyone. These sessions prioritise sensory comfort without compromising on the overall Dynamic Earth experience.

During Relaxed Opening hours, the following changes will be made:

• Reduced visitor numbers throughout the day.
• Alterations to lighting and audio features.
• Additional accessibility resources available, including sensory bags, social stories and sensory maps.
• Disability and neurodiversity awareness training for staff.
• Captions on all videos, and BSL interpretation on selected Planetarium shows.
• A wide range of sensory aids
• Flexible admission to our tour and Planetarium.
• Designated quiet space for visitors to use.
