Selected parts of the Museum (Rooms 1, 4, 8, 16, 17-23) will open at 8am until 10am for two hours, before the Museum opens to the public.
Visitors can explore the galleries and take part in sensory-based activities including object-handling and arts and crafts.
We will be joined by artist and printmaker Fae Kilburn, from the national arts charity ‘Outside in’, for a fun and accessible printmaking workshop, where you can create prints inspired by the ancient Greek collection at the Museum. Storyteller Olivia Armstrong will be hosting an interactive and sensory storytelling session about the ancient Greeks – hear tales of gods and goddesses from mythical worlds and the everyday people who worshipped them.
This event is generously supported by the Lord Leonard and Lady Estelle Wolfson Foundation.
