We are so pleased to confirm that for our next Dawnosaurs event on Wednesday August 14th will be providing full access the the brand new Natural History Museum Nature Garden. Dawnosaurs visitors will be some of the first to enjoy our new Nature Garden and an all new activity offer! Tickets are on sale now
What is Dawnosaurs?
Dawnosaurs is our free, relaxed morning offer for neurodivergent and learning disabled children + their families. We open the Museum two hours before standard admission begins to allow this audience to explore the Museum and take part in learning activities.
What is different about this event?
Dawnosaurs: The Great Outdoors takes place on a Wednesday morning in the school holidays instead of our traditional Saturday offer.
This event will largely take place outdoors [there will be a rainy day version]
We will be offering brand new activities such as: Pond dipping, Forest Librarian, Junior Wildlife Photographer of the year and much more!
We will provide a social story on the Dawnosaurs website two weeks before the event [and email it to you if you’ve booked tickets] this story will inform you of what to expect from the event and any further changes based on our new outdoor location.
There will be some indoor galleries open [Dinosaurs and the Blue Zone] but this event mostly focuses on the gardens and the Orange Zone for the first time.
Can I book Blue Badge Parking?
Blue badge parking for this event is unfortunately sold out. There is public Blue Badge parking on Exhibition Road and there are many apps on the AppStore that can help you locate Blue Badge parking nearby
Why the day change?
We received a lot of feedback asking us to change the day we do these events occasionally to allow parents more flexibility. We can not operate evening events and so we chose an early morning in the week during school holidays. The Saturday events will resume for the rest of the year. This change is a temporary trial.
